  “We already live on the beach,” she said.

  “I don’t want to talk about that.” I interrupted her aggressively. I looked at her, giving her a face I’d knew she recognize. I came closer to her, my hands moving for her hips. “You’re mine.”

  “I’ve always been yours.”

  I pressed my face close to hers, keeping eye contact. My hand moved to the back of her dress and undid each button, taking my time.
