Chapter One
Cayson
“Let’s go back to the room.”
Skye lay beside me on the beach, wearing a pink bikini and aviator sunglasses. She was basking in the sun, getting a noticeable tan. “I’m so comfortable here…”
“Imagine laying on a soft comforter with sheets that feel like silk.” I turned on my side and stared at her body. Her wedding ring flashed in the light and was noticeable to anyone nearby. I wanted to grab one side of her bikini and pull it down slightly until it exposed her hips so I could ravish it with kisses. But other people occupied the beach, to my dismay.
“I have a feeling I wouldn’t lay there much.” A slight smile stretched her lips.
“I’ll do all the work. You just lay there and enjoy it.”
“Cayson, we’ve been in the room enough.” She propped herself up on her elbows. Her cleavage was noticeable in her bikini.
I stared at it. “I disagree.”
“Let’s go boogie boarding.”
I knew I wasn’t going to get my way. “Okay.”
We grabbed our boards and hit the water. Skye was too uncomfortable to surf so this was the next best thing. The water in Hawaii was clear. I could see all the way down to the bottom. And the water was warm. It was like stepping in a mild bath.
Skye faced the beach and looked over her shoulder. “Wait for a big one.”
“Okay.” Instead of looking over my shoulder, I stared at her. She looked like a Sports Illustrated swimsuit model. She had a tiny waist and a boobalicious chest. It was distracting.
“Okay, here it comes. Get ready.”
I continued to stare at her.
“Cayson!”
“What? Sorry?”
“The wave!” Skye kicked hard and rode the momentum.
I got my head in the game and did the same.
We rode the wave together and gripped our boards as we were propelled toward the shore.
“Ahh!” Skye screamed as she held onto her board.
When we reached the sand, the water receded back and we were left on the ground.
“That was so cool,” Skye said.
“You should try surfing. I think you’d like it.”
“Are you crazy?” she asked. “I’d drown.”
“Your two life rafts would keep you afloat.”
She made an offended face then smacked my arm playfully. “Cayson!”
I laughed then rose to my feet. “Sorry, I had to say it.”
***
We sat at the edge of the patio that overlooked the ocean. Skye wore a pink dress that complimented her skin tone perfectly. It was strapless, and her shoulders looked rounded and toned. Her hair was curled and it trailed down her chest.
She looked at her menu then turned her gaze on me. “What are you getting?”
“Probably the mahi-mahi.” Honestly, I didn’t care. I didn’t care about anything except the woman sitting across from me—my wife. “What are you getting?”
“Maybe the lobster…or maybe a steak. Damn, I don’t know.”
I tried not to smile.
The waiter approached and took our order.
“I’ll have the mahi-mahi,” I said. “Greens are fine.”
“Very good,” he said. “And you?” he asked as he turned to Skye.
She was still indecisive. “Hmm…I can’t decide between the lobster or the steak.”
I grabbed her menu and handed it to the waiter. “Bring her both. Make the steak medium well.”
“Very good, sir.” He walked away.
“Both?” Skye asked incredulously.
“We’re on our honeymoon,” I said. “Get whatever you want.”
“You’re enabling me to become a pig.”
“You could never be a pig.” I sipped my wine then set the glass on the table.
Skye looked across the water and watched the sun disappear behind the horizon. The sky was splashed with different colors of yellow, red, and orange. A slight breeze moved through her hair and pulled at her strands. “This place is amazing.”
“It’s the Four Seasons. It’s supposed to be amazing.”
“Are you homesick yet?”
I released a laugh because it was so absurd. “Absolutely not.”
“Me neither.” She smiled. “I never want to go home. It’s nice to be near the wide-open spaces. And there’s no bums here…it’s pretty nice.”
“And no pigeon vomit on the bottom of your shoe.”
She laughed. “That’s always nice.”
I watched her face and melted even further. All of this was a dream. I was on my honeymoon with the girl of my dreams. Skye Preston was my wife. She was mine forever.
When she turned her gaze back to me, she had the same look on her face. There was endless love, devotion, and affection in the look. “We’re really lucky.”
I didn’t know what she meant. She could be referring to anything. The honeymoon, our wedding, our family, our jobs…anything.
“Most people never find a love like this. You’re my best friend but you’re also the guy I fantasize about. Even now, I still get butterflies when I’m around you. There’s a tingling deep in my stomach. It’s just…we’re really lucky.”
“I know we are.” My hand found hers across the table.
We didn’t exchange any more words for the rest of the evening. There was nothing else to say. We just stared at each other in longing. Our eyes had a silent conversation, but the words were clear in my mind.
***
I lay on the bed with my hands behind my head. I was naked on the bed because I knew exactly what to expect. My hard length lay against my stomach, waiting for my wife to join me.
The bathroom door opened and she came out wearing a see-through black ensemble. It was a short dress and her breasts were easily visible in it. Her nipples were hard. She sauntered to the bed then climbed over me.
When she was close enough, I snatched her and made her legs straddle my hips. My cock rubbed against the lace of her panties. Moisture pooled at my head and I felt my desperation grow.
I sat up and leaned my back against the headboard. Then I pulled the dress over her arms and stared at her perky tits. My hands grabbed them and I massaged them intently, loving their roundness. Then I took one into my mouth and felt my cock twitch in response. She tasted so good, like vanilla and spice.
She moaned as she felt me, and her hands dug into my hair as she watched me suck her greedily.
My hands moved down her back and across her ass until my fingers reached the area between her legs. I rubbed her clitoris and made her moan louder. The moisture pooled around my fingers, and I knew she was ready for me.
I hooked my arm around her waist then rolled her to the bed. My other hand gripped her panties and pulled them down her beautiful legs. Once she was naked underneath me, my mouth devoured her. She tasted salty and sweet at the same time. I loved that she was mine forever—all of her.
She dug her fingers into my hair and pulled me harder into her, wanting more.
My cock twitched again because it was desperate for her. He had a mind of his own and he really wanted to feel her. I wanted the same thing. I crawled on top of her then pinned my arms under her knees. We were as close as possible, our chests practically touching. She was flexible and that made our lovemaking even better.
Like a magnet, my cock found her entrance and slid inside. She was wet and smooth. I loved her tightness. That had never changed since the first time we made love. I would never stretch her out because she was simply too small.
I always took my time with her because I wanted to make it last as long as possible. I wanted her to reach
her climax, but I also just didn’t want it to end. When we were connected like this, the world seemed to stop. All that existed was the connection between us. Our hearts beat as one, our souls were intertwined, and we became one person.
***
We were having breakfast the following morning when I got a phone call.
“Who’s calling you on our honeymoon?” Skye asked while she ate her cup of fruit.
“I don’t know…” I dug my phone out of my pocket then checked the screen. “It’s Slade.”
She rolled her eyes. “He misses you.”
“No,” I said. “He wouldn’t call for that.”
She laughed. “You wanna bet?”
I cocked an eyebrow. “What are the terms?”
“If I’m right, you do that thing I like.”
The thing she liked was also the thing I liked. “And if I’m right?”
“I’ll do that thing you like.”
I won in either scenario. “You’re on.” I took the call. “What’s up, man?”
“Hey! What’s going on? What are you doing? How are things? I saw this tattoo and it totally reminded me of you. Dude, when are you coming home?” Slade continued to ramble on. “Arsen and I played basketball the other day but it just wasn’t—”
“Slade, shut up.”
He fell silent.
“I didn’t catch any of that because you were talking so fast.”
“Oh, sorry,” he said. “When are you coming home?”
“In a few days.” I never wanted to go home. The second I did, I would have to leave.
He released a heavy sigh. “I miss you…”
Skye could hear his voice, and she smiled when she heard his words.
I rolled my eyes. “I miss you too, man.”
“Did you really need to go on a honeymoon for ten days? Isn’t that a little long?”
“What’s done is done.”
“I guess…”
“How are things with you?”
“They’re okay,” he said. “How’s the honeymoon?”
“It would be a lot better if you didn’t call me,” I jabbed.
“Whatever,” he said. “I just wanted to make sure you were okay.”
“Okay?” I asked with a laugh. “Of course, I’m okay. I’m more than okay.”
“I missed you on my honeymoon.”
“Liar.”
He chuckled. “Okay, maybe I didn’t.”
“I’ll see you when I get back, alright?”
“Okay,” he said sadly.
“And don’t call me again.”
“Can I text you…?”
I hung up on him.
Skye grinned. “Told you.”
Chapter Two
Slade
“I told you not to call him.” Trinity licked her fingers before she turned the page of her magazine.
“He wanted to talk to me…” Actually, it seemed like he was irritated that I interrupted his trip.
“Sure, honey.” She turned the page again.
“Hey, he called me on my honeymoon. He said he wanted to check on me, but we both know he just missed me.”
“Well, we were in another country so that’s different.”
“Nope,” I said. “He missed me. I know he did.”
“Whatever you say.” Her eyes were glued to her magazine.
I drank my beer then rested my feet on the coffee table.
Trinity’s eyes immediately moved to my feet, and she had a dark look in her eyes.
“What?”
She continued to stare at my shoes.
I sighed and put them down. “Sorry.”
She turned away once I obeyed her silent command.
I grabbed the pile of mail on the counter and started to look through it. A bank statement was there and I ripped it open. When I saw the amount in our account I almost had a heart attack. “Holy shit, where is all this money coming from?”
She put her magazine in her lap. “I do run a business, you know.”
“But this is insane,” I said as I stared at the number. “You’re becoming a contender with your father.”
“I know,” she said with a sigh. “It’s weird. I’m not used to it.”
“Baby, you should do something with this.”
“What do you mean?” she asked. “Like, spend it?”
“No,” I said quickly. “Invest it in something.”
“Invest?” She said it like she had no idea what the word meant.
“I’m surprised your dad hasn’t discussed this with you…”
“I don’t really talk to him about my finances,” she said. “And he does a good job not butting in. I’m surprised, actually.”
I continued to stare at the paper. “Well, we should set up a SEP account for our retirement.”
“A what?” she asked.
“A SEP. It’s a retirement account for business owners. I have one for the shop.”
“Oh…” She looked at me like it was the first time she really took me in.
“What?” I asked.
“I guess I’m just surprised.”
“Why?”
“I didn’t realize you thought about serious stuff like the future and retirement.”
“Well, I do.” I tried not to take it personally. “So, we’ll set that up and put a yearly contribution in. But even then…you have a lot of cash lying around.” I started brainstorming ideas in my head.
“I could reinvest it back into the company.”
“Well, that’s what your business account is for.”
She gave me a blank expression.
“You don’t have a business account?”
She shook her head.
I tried not to laugh. “You’ve built an empire all on your own and you’ve never thought about having a business account? Or a retirement?”
“I don’t know…everything happened so fast.”
“Well, we could buy a house now. We have more than enough money at this point.”
“I was thinking the same thing.” She played with a strand of hair. “This place is getting pretty cramped.”
“Is there anything you have in mind?”
“Well…we need at least five extra bedrooms…”
“Five?” I blurted. “How many shoes do you have?”
“No,” she said with a chuckle. “Three for the kids, one for your man cave, and one for my office.”
“I get a man cave?” I asked excitedly.
“Yep. I figured you can put all your guitars, cigars, and porn in there.”
“Porn?” I asked. “There’s no such thing as porn DVD’s anymore.”
“Well, magazines then.”
I cringed. “Guys don’t have porn magazines.”
“Then whatever,” she said.
“And I don’t watch porn.”
“Never?” she asked incredulously.
“Not since we got together.” That was the honest truth. “Guys jerk off because they don’t have a real girl. Why would I beat my dick when I have you?”
She smiled slightly.
“And I don’t smoke.”
“Really?” She gave me that dark look that told me she knew I was lying.
“No…”
“So, you didn’t smoke at Cayson’s wedding?” She crossed her arms over her chest.
Fuck, she knew. “Who told you?”
“What does it matter?”
“It does matter,” I said. “It was that little bitch Conrad, wasn’t it?”
“Are you telling me you did smoke?”
I pressed my lips tightly together. “Yes.”
“Slade Sisco.” Fire was in her eyes. “You will never do that again.”
“I only did it one time. It was a special occasion.”
“And it better not happen again.”
“It won’t.”
“I’ll knee you in the balls,” she threatened. “I mean it.”
“I give you my word,” I promised.
“Good. Because I won’t stand by and watch you get lung cancer.”
“You’re exaggerating here…”
“Anyway,” she said. “Yes, I want to upgrade.”
“In the city?” I asked.
“It’s not the best place to raise a family but I can’t picture myself in the suburbs like Skye and Cayson.”
“Neither can I,” I said honestly. My shop was just a few blocks over, and I liked having access to take out food within a moment’s notice. There was much more to do in the city, especially in terms of music. My band and I hadn’t played in a while but it was nice that we had the opportunity.
“Work is so close…” She pressed her lips tightly together while she thought.
“Just because we live here doesn’t mean our kids have to go to school here. They can go somewhere else.” The idea of being a father still terrified me. But I was better at hiding it.
“No,” she said. “Education in the city isn’t what I’m worried about.”
“So, we’ll settle here?” I shot her a grin. “I’m just glad you don’t want to live next door to your dad.” That would be a nightmare.
She chuckled. “No. Working in the same city is enough.”
“Does that officially mean we’re house hunters?”
“I think so.”
I patted my thigh. “Come over here and give me some sugar.”
She rolled her eyes but a smile stretched her lips.
“Come on. You know you want to.”
She released a sigh then sat in my lap. Her arms moved around my neck. “So, we’ll find an apartment?”
“Do they make apartments that big?” I’d never seen one.
“If you know where to look.”
“Maybe we can live next door to Arsen and Silke or something.”
“You would want to live next door to your sister?” she asked in surprise.
“Well, no. Just Arsen.”
She shook her head. “Cayson would be so jealous.”
“He’s got a wife now. I doubt he would care.”
“Oh, he would care.” Her lips moved to the corner of my mouth and down my neck. “You know, the idea of you being a minister is kind of hot.”
“Yeah?” I grinned from ear-to-ear. “Does it make you feel naughty?”
“Very.” She sprinkled kisses along my jaw.
My hands moved under her shirt and up her bare back. I loved the feel of her soft skin. She was tiny in my arms. I wasn’t a bodybuilder but she made me feel like one in comparison. I liked her leanness. She had thin legs I loved feeling wrapped around my waist. “I’ll have to punish you for being such a naughty girl.”
